December Challenge Day 4

Interesting day.

1. Something I learnt today: Not all is what it seems. Talking to the right people and taking the time to listen to background information and different points of view can change your mind on a person or situation. Instead of assuming the worst, we all need to learn to listen to the reasoning.

2. Something I am grateful for: My daughter’s infectious laugh. After a tough day of politics, I came home and could hear her laughing from the driveway, it put the biggest smile on my face. Turns out she was asking Siri to spell ‘supercalafradulisticexpia……’ (you know what I mean). Try it, it is pretty funny!

3. Something I want to change: I wish we all had more time to be understanding and helpful to one another. Life is lived at such a fast pace these days, people just don’t feel they have time to invest in volunteer roles or organisations. I wish I could make more people see, that giving a little can result in you gaining so many rewards, not in a physical or material sense, but in one of achievement, pride and belonging.
